February 16, 2021 there was a heavy rain in Brgy. sanghay Mati city davao oriental, due to heavy rain it caused damage to the ditch and road. due to the strength of the current in the water, it overflowed the road and here some residents in our barangay were affected because they could not pass the road due to the excessive strength of the water and the presence of large stones. There is a resident in barangay sanghay who was greatly affected by the heavy rain because the strong water passed through their house and caused damage to some parts of their house. The flooding affects our economy, especially the farmers because there is a possibility of landslides in their planted products. The flood caused a landslide especially on the roads and there it was difficult for those who sought life because they had difficulty passing

MEDIA AND INFORMATION LITERACY

Media and information literacy is an interrelated set of competencies that help people to maximize advantages and minimize harm in the new information, digital and communication landscapes. Media and information literacy covers competencies that enable people to critically and effectively engage with information, other forms of content, the institutions that facilitate information and diverse types of content, and the discerning use of digital technologies. Capacities in these areas are indispensable for all citizens regardless of their ages or backgrounds. Response to disinformation and misinformation requires a combination of critical information, media, and digital competencies, i.e., media and information literacy (MIL). UNESCO and partners have launched the new resource  Media and Information Literate Citizens: Think critically, Click Wisely (Second Edition of the UNESCO Model Media and Information Literacy Curriculum for Educators and Learners).
